Spring Fling

wut is it? Purple Magazines Best of Season photo shoot highlighting their favorite designer garb. As usual, shot by Terry Richardson, styled by Caroline Gaimari the Director and Executive editor of Purple, and modeled by the S/S 13 cover girl Miranda Kerr.

It’s a pop of playful, and a touch of edgy featuring Haider Ackerman, Miu Miu, Prada, Mugler, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Christian Dior, Fendi,  Alexander McQueen, Balmain, and Comme De Garçon just to name a few.

Backstage Pass

wut is it? Backstage photos from V magazine of favorite
designers from fall'11 fashion weeks. It's a more fun way
to digest fall trends.

Lanvin, my monochromatic lover...

Obsessed with the hats. They stuck to their beautiful, clean,
but perfectly french-chic aesthetic they exude every season,
that rose dress is a stunner.

Balmain, just observe and take in

LOVE to see high neck lines. Very bold and daring
Mr. Decarnin... this was a success in my eyes.

Vivienne Westwood, I have to give her props for going there
and doing it well

This is how you make a statement. Lady Gaga will be all over
that gold suit... calling it now.

Behind the Scenes

wut is it? Backstage snapshots I came across from V
Magazine of great collections from the Spring 2011 shows.

Lanvin

Rick Owens

More of a Fall fan for Rick Owens... his leather jackets
are insane
Balmain

They have killed it season after season lately. This
collection comes close to Euro-Trash territory, but the
details and amazing fit keep it in couture status... this is
why I have to love them, for daring to go there and pulling
it off.
Alexander McQueen... the first collection without the man
behind the name, may he rest in peace.

Sarah Burton was appointed the new Artistic Director, and
a job well done. She embodied the McQueen aesthetic, and
gave it a fresh spin, much-needed after the dark fall designs
(the last collection the late McQueen designed.) Sarah was
the best for the job, she has worked as the late McQueen's
assistant since 1996.
