Summer Lovin

wut is it? my favorite pair of summer J Brands yet…the Aiden. I’ve been patiently waiting for a rigid kick ass jean and finally got it. In this nyc hot humidity a boyfriend fit is all I can wear. They’re perfectly worn in and you can wear them with anything or anywhere: to a Beach House concert in Central Park where mother nature brings on the rain, or somewhere little dryer….

Young Blood

wut is it? A barely 21 year old Brazilian fashion designer, Pedro Lourenco, who I blogged about in 2010 when I first came across him (click here to read that post)

Long story short his parents were fashion designers, and he has taken the talent he inherited to another level. His first collection was Spring 11′ and Lourenco has yet to disappoint . For such a young blood he is blending very well with his high fashion  peers. He took color blocking a step further this fall by giving it movement, and played with sheer fabrics and texture like any designer pro.

From the Past

wut is it? A photo shoot V Magazine did dedicated to courageous women who aren’t afraid to speak their mind, and defend their ideas…as V put it.

Its a beautiful flashback to WWII photographed by the tremendous talent Nathaniel Goldberg (who also shot the Purple Magazine story from yesterdays post). Gillian Wilkins styled the shoot, letting the clothing not only compliment the theme, but enhance the mood Goldberg was going for. The outcome was a staggering melancholy that makes the photographs worth while.
