Lady Like

wut is it? Celine, a line I am seriously crushing on. I
love their angles, cuts, lapels, lady like sophistication,
oh and their bright British artistic director Phoebe
Philo. She was previously the artistic director for Chloe
following Stella McCartney, who she worked under for
years. A fun fact is she is a vegetarian and will not work
with fur... but will work with leather, a good choice.

Fall collection favorites...

I love the lapels of the jackets, their sleek and stunning.
I also admire the patchwork Phoebe used, especially
on that chunky coat, I would kill for that to show up in
my winter closet. It's an overall diverse, and beautifully
lady like fall collection.

Sorry for the MIA

Sorry guys for the lack of updates. Barcelona was more
busy then expected, school was intense, as well as life.
What an amazing summer city: beautiful architecture,
art, beaches, night life, bars... need I say more? I was
wrapped up in it all, and school sucked me into art over
fashion. The one thing I can say is I was not impressed
with the street style. A lot of parachute pants, and harem
pants with hem lines that hung too low. The people are
incredible, I just wasn't floored with their style...

This all being said, I am back, and working on
upcoming posts. Going to jump right into Fall,
because if your like me, monochromatic, monotone,
and a layering lover then summer isn't really your
thing. I am ready to pull out my leather, fur, boots
oh my...

But here is a summer favorite of mine, A floral Kimono
my mom picked up for me at Urban

(Kimono: Urban Outfitters, Dress: Riller&Fount, Shoes:
Alexander Wang, Purse: Jersey Thrift store) Photo

And  a pair of awesome old man style loafers I picked up
at a vintage store in Barcelona's Raval district... their
vintage stores were very up to par, if my wallet aloud, I
would have done more damage.

Back to the new posts, up soon.

Fun Stuff

wut is it? Some sick pieces I picked in Buenos Aires
back in January. Because it was summer there, I got
my hands on some insane spring/ summer gear, and
once the season changed, I started repping Argentina
with full force.

Here are some interpretations of what I nabbed...

(Jacket- Good Will; Tank- L'agence; Pants- Kosiuko
from Agentina; Shoes- A-Wang; Glasses 80's vintage)

(Jacket- Salvation Army; Dress- AY NOT DEAD, Arg;
Shoes- Complot,Arg)

I basically live in those shoes, they are effortlessly
cute and comfortable

(T-shirt- AY NOT DEAD, Leather Shorts- Buffalo
Exchange(the best buy); Shoes- Complot, Arg; Glasses
courtesy of Casino Nelson- 40's vintage)

As usual photo's by the incredibly talented Casino Nelson.
His website, and tumblr

I am off to Barcelona next week, and intend to blog about
the style, and snap quick shots of what I am wearing too.
Until then I am relentlessly trying to narrow down my
wardrobe! It's hard...

Some travel prep

wut is it? My on going praise for Argentine clothing
companies. I head to Barcelona in less than a week for
the summer, so I thought in Spanish spirit I would
share some great stuff.

I am very excited to explore the style of the Barcelona
denizens, clothing companies and stores oh my... but
until then I gaze websites of clothes from across
the Atlantic.

Coragroppo Fall 11'. It's monochromatic, dramatic, and
so fantastic

Maria Cher Fall 11'. It feels like A.P.C meets Ralph
Lauren with an Argentine flare... I am very intrigued
and very much liking it

This might be most of the line sheet, but I loved it all;
its versatile, classic with an edge, and right up my
ally.

Oh and one of the fall campaign videos which promotes
a collaboration of some kind uses Fleet Foxes... enough
said... seriously.

Some of my own Argentine gems will be posted soon...

New kid on the block

wut it is? Fashion designer Prabal Gurung, who was
originally born in Singapore but grew up in Nepal's
Kathmandu Valley. Being that I just took a Himalayan
art history class, I need to shout him out. He is has
worked for various substantial designers; interning for
Donna Karen, and working at Cynthia Rowling in New
York. His education started in New Delhi, India at their
National Institute of Fashion Technology, and then
attended Parsons School of design. Being a New
School-er myself, I need to show some love, and his
designs so beautiful, and inventive, he makes it easy.

Some Fall' 11 favorites

I am seriously into the patchwork lace on this jacket

His attention to detail make his work breathtaking,
and I love his use of color, its understated but there.
There are many pieces in his collection I would not
mind reinterpreting into my wardrobe.

Maxi Motto

wut is it? My favorite trend this summer, maxi skirts
and dresses. They are the perfect excuse to not to shave
your legs every other day this summer, and being
bi-coastal, when I am in New York, there is no way I
am suffering in a pair of jeans in that humidity.

Living in comfort is always the way to go...that is my
maxi motto.

Riller & Fount makes those perfect jersey dresses you
can dress up or down. I have lived in mine since I got
them. I think I have styled them every which way;
belted with jackets, a t-shirt over them with combat
boots,  a sweater over them for the chillier nights in
LA.... the possibilities are endless.

Some options...

(Dress: Riller & Fount- style- Amore; Jacket- J Brand;
Sweatshirt- L'agence; Shoes- Alexander Wang)

(Dress- Riller & Fount- Style- Amore; Jacket- H&M;
Lace Cami- Anthropology; Shoes- Alexander Wang)

Thank me later

wut is it? Complot, one of my favorite clothing stores
from Argentina, is now shipping to the US. And the
best part is they converted the pesos to US dollars,
which means it's very affordable, and so worth it.

Clothes I will try not to go broke ordering...
(it will be hard)

Everything is in Spanish on the website, but click
Estados Unidos for the United States for the country
to ship to when checking out. The shipping price is
worth it, trust me, and so is the quality of the clothes.
